Core Concepts
Tags Database in Feather
You can organize your articles based on various tags. This Tags database is useful for that.
Tags Database Properties
If you have duplicated the default Feather’s Notion template, you will find these properties inside the Tags database.
1. Name
This is the title of your tag.
You should know!
This name will also be automatically set as the meta title of your tag page for SEO.
2. Publish
This is a checkbox property and it determines whether the tag is in draft mode or not.
If Publish is unchecked, then that means the tag is in draft mode and will not be published to your blog.
3. Slug
This determines the URL of your tag.
For example, if the slug of a tag is set as product-updates and your blog is at mydomain.com, then the URL of this tag will be mydomain.com/product-updates
You should know!
If the slug is empty or unset, then the slug will be automatically generated based on the title of the tag. But it’s always recommended to set the slug whenever possible.
4. Excerpt
This is a short description of what your tag is about.
You should know!
This will also be automatically set as the meta description of your tag page for SEO.
5. Cover
This is the cover image of your tag page.
You should know!
This will also be automatically set as the Open Graph Image (og:image) of your tag page.
So, when your tag is shared on social media platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc, it will show this cover image automatically without you doing anything extra.
6. Last Edited Time
This is the last edited time of the tag. This is automatically tracked by Notion using the Last Edited Time property type.
