I added design settings to Feather. Now, you can customize various aspects of your blog like color, fonts, etc with just a click of a button.
Change the Blog Template
At the time of writing, Feather has 3 templates – Normal, SaaS, and Product Updates. Now, you can change the look of your blog to any of these templates with just a single click.
Now, Feather has an inbuilt dark mode. You can choose how you want the blog to look – it can be light, or dark or it can even be according to the visitor’s system settings.
You can even enable the Display mode switcher. When you enable this, your blog will have a small toggle in the navbar using which the visitor can easily switch between these modes.
You can now easily change the primary brand colors of your blog. Feather already provides 4 inbuilt themes – Base, Candy, Rainforest, and Sea.
Custom Color Theme
But you are not limited to just these 4 color themes. You can add your own color theme now.
All you have to do to create a new theme is to choose a primary brand color. Feather automatically creates the entire color scale from the lightest variation of the color to the darkest variation. Feather then uses these 10 colors at various places of your blog to make the blog match your own brand.
Shades of Gray
Gray color will be used at various places on your blog. Now, you can choose which type of gray color you want to use. You now have 7 varieties of gray to choose from. This will make your blog to look even more unique.
You can now even change the font of your blog pretty easily. You can also choose one font for headings and a completely different font for the rest of the content.
You have the entire list of Google fonts available to choose from. It’s more than 1000 fonts – 1464 fonts to be exact. That’s a lot of options to choose from 😅.
You can now choose how you want the buttons in your blog to look like. They can be Normal or Sharp or Rounded – completely your choice.
Finally, you can also change the Navbar style using Design Settings. You can choose how you want the navbar links to be aligned – they can be Left-Aligned or Centered or Right-Aligned – Whatever your preference is.
Even more customization settings in the future
These settings are just a start. In the future, I will add even more settings to this. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know.
